Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - Bacon
  • - Onion
  • - Bell Pepper
  • - Cream Cheese
  • - Sour Cream
  • - Sharp Cheddar or Colby-jack Cheese
  • - Hot Sauce
  • - Worcestershire Sauce

Instructions

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let it cool before chopping it into small pieces.
  • In the same skillet, add the diced onion and bell pepper, cooking until they're softened, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, cooked bacon, sautéed onion and bell pepper, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish or hollowed-out French bread loaf.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted.
  • For the best experience when preparing Mississippi Sin Dip, consider using fresh ingredients and adjusting the level of spiciness to your taste.
  • If you're using pre-shredded cheese, be aware that it may contain additives that affect how well it melts. Additionally, using a hand blender can help achieve a smoother consistency, making the dip easier to scoop.
  • Remember that this dish can be served hot from the oven or kept warm in a crockpot for extended enjoyment.
