Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • - 1 cup chopped pecans
  • - 1 cup sugar
  • - 1/2 cup melted butter
  • - 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • - 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • - 1 cup powdered sugar
  • - 8 oz cool whip
  • - 1 box instant vanilla pudding
  • - 2 cups milk for vanilla pudding
  • - 1 box instant chocolate pudding
  • - 2 cups milk for chocolate pudding
  • - Additional whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  • Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C). In a mixing bowl, combine chopped pecans, sugar, melted butter, and flour. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the pecan mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish to form the crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
  • In a separate bowl, whip together the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the cool whip until light and fluffy. Set aside.
  • Prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions, using 2 cups of milk for a firmer texture. Once the pudding has set, spread it evenly over the cooled crust.
  • Next, prepare the chocolate pudding in the same way, using 2 cups of milk. Once set, spread the chocolate pudding layer over the vanilla pudding layer.
  • Finally, spread a layer of whipped cream over the chocolate pudding to create a smooth top layer. Cover the dessert with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple of hours to allow it to set properly.
  • Before serving, you may add shaved chocolate on top for decoration, if desired.
  • For the best results, guarantee that each layer is evenly spread to maintain a beautiful presentation. You can also customize the dessert by substituting walnuts for pecans in the crust or adjusting the pudding consistency by using less milk for a firmer texture.
  • This layered pudding delight is sure to be a hit at any gathering!
